Victory Seed Company
"An Address from Mike Dunton for 2018"
(From the introduction of the 2018 seed catalog.)

Dear Friends,

The catalog that you are holding in your hands marks a very significant milestone for the Victory Seed Company and represents a testament to the dedication and commitment of our staff to remain unwavering from our founding principles and our primary mission.

For over twenty years, we have been quietly and diligently seeking out rare plant varieties, growing them out, comparing them to the historical record, and only then reintroducing them to the gardening public.

It also represents the commitment made by so many people over the past decades to support this important work with their purchases, donations, and word-of-mouth recommendations. We truly feel that this work - preserving horticultural biodiversity - is a partnership. We could not continue without your support.

I want to thank all of our "cheerleaders and champions." You know who you are. You are the folks that share Victory Seeds® at seed swaps, teach classes, give presentations, and always tell your audiences about the work that we do.

Thank you also to all of the folks who have sent in seeds that their families have been growing for generations. We are proud to help in the process of making sure that your legacy continues.

Even though twenty years have past, we feel like we are just getting started. With your continued support we will be able to keep adding rare and endangered plant varieties to the seedbank, increase our charitable work, expand our educational outreach, and build on the strong foundation that has been laid these past decades.

From all of us here at the Victory Seed Company, thank you! We look forward to being your partner in the garden as your seed supplier for the 2018 gardening season and are looking faithfully forward to many more decades of service.

Mike Dunton
