Concord Confections operates production facilities in Concord, Ontario and
has a joint venture with a facility in Barcelona, Spain. A state of
the art distribution facility and corporate offices are also located in
Concord, Ontario. Concord’s dominant retail presence is bolstered by
strong demand for bulk packaged goods used by the vending trade;
consolidator/re-packers, and the private label market.
Concord’s products are available through hundreds of thousands of distribution
points in over 60 countries. Globally, Concord’s products are distributed on
every continent with the exception of Antarctica. Concord maintains a
commitment to the development and extension of existing brands while constantly
eyeing new product innovations.
1986
Concord Confections Inc. is established in Concord, Ontario and rapidly expands
to rank as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of bubble gum and candy
products.
1998
The famous "Crown and Oval" logo, a classic icon of American pop
culture, is obtained from the acquisition of Fleer Confections. The "Dubble
Bubble" brand becomes Concord’s prized brand.
2002
Concord Confections Purchases Wax Candy Division of American Candy Company.
Products include Wax Lips,
Wax Fangs,
and Nik-L-Nips bottles.
2003
Concord Confections purchases Philadelphia Chewing Gum Corporation adding the 55
year old gum leader into its portfolio of top-quality gum and confectionery

2004
In August 2004, Tootsie Roll Industries acquires Concord Confections of Toronto,
Canada, a market leader in the bubble gum category, known for exceptional
quality. Concord Confections' products are sold primarily under the Dubble
Bubble brand that was introduced in 1928 and are known throughout the world.
Other Concord products include
Razzles, Cry Baby and
Nik-L-Nip.
